Boone Elementary School is part of the San Diego Unified School District. In 2010, AMSOLAR entered into a broad partnership with the District to provide parking lot and rooftop solar facilities capable of meeting 11% of the District’s power needs under a power purchase agreement.

Boone Elementary is one of San Diego Unified’s 113 elementary schools. The school’s code of conduct emphasizes strong social skills as well as academic achievement. Boone has approximately 575 students in Grades K-5 with diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

The 115 kW solar facility will be located over four rooftops on campus and will meet over 72% of the school’s electricity needs.
