Clairemont High School is part of the San Diego Unified School District. In 2010, AMSOLAR entered into a broad partnership with the District to provide parking lot and rooftop solar facilities capable of meeting 11% of the District’s power needs under a power purchase agreement.

Clairemont High opened in 1958. Its mission is to develop students into productive contributors to society, who are responsible global citizens, capable learners and clear communicators. The school has diverse population of approximately 1,350 students in Grades 9-12.

The 295 kW solar facility will be located in the main parking lot on campus and will meet over 71% of the school’s electricity needs.
