Projects | Encanto Elementary School, 169 kW

Encanto Elementary School is part of the San Diego Unified School District. In 2010, AMSOLAR entered into a broad partnership with the District to provide parking lot and rooftop solar facilities capable of meeting 11% of the District’s power needs under a power purchase agreement.

Encanto Elementary was established in 1906. The school serves over 660 predominately Hispanic and African American students in Grades K-5.

The 169 kW solar facility will be located over four rooftops on campus and will meet over 80% of the school’s electricity needs.
