Elizabeth Ruethling
Executive Director

Elizabeth Ruethling joined the AMSOLAR GIVING program in 2009, bringing with her extensive experience in nonprofit development and international philanthropy.

Ms. Ruethling has worked with grassroots educational and economic endeavors in more than a dozen countries in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, helping communities build basic life skills, environmental awareness, sustainable enterprises, and support for human rights. Previously, as Senior Program Officer at the Global Fund for Children, a Washington DC-based foundation, she administered hundreds of grants to small, nonprofit organizations around the world working to bring educational opportunities to the most vulnerable children and youth. With a focus on basic education as well as relevant learning, she helped grassroots activists and community leaders address pressing issues such as environmentally responsible farming, renewable energy options, family healthcare, and locally supported economic opportunities. Later, working from Central Africa and South Asia, Ms. Ruethling served as a field consultant for Global Goods Partners, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women-led microenterprises in Africa, Latin America, and Asia find international markets and improve their environmentally sustainable products.

Ms. Ruethling holds degrees in International Studies and Asian Studies from Northwestern University.

 

Morgan Barth
Senior Advisor, AMSOLAR GIVING

Morgan Barth is the Principal of Elm City College Prep Elementary, a New Haven, Connecticut, charter school affiliated with Achievement First, a non-profit charter school management organization that operates network of high-performing, K-12 public schools in Connecticut and New York.

Previously, Mr. Barth served as Academic Dean and founding 5th grade teacher at Elm City College Prep Middle. Before coming to Achievement First, Mr. Barth served as a Teach For America Corps Member in the Mississippi Delta region teaching 4th grade in Chicot County, Arkansas. He is a graduate of Williams College, where he majored in history. Mr. Barth also holds an M.Ed. from National Louis University and completed the KIPP Stanford Educational Leadership Institute.
